Dave back in the studio yet again:
The album BIG MONTANA SKY was actually scheduled for release in 2010 however with the death of Dave's father everything got postponed as we hope everybody could understand. The 2011 album scheduled to be recorded in March was therefore delayed and we now find ourselves back in the studio playing catch up. The 2011 album has been named as " Small Mean and Butt Ugly " recording will start in the next few weeks and once again Dave is looking forward to giving his fans an insight into his inner feelings through the music he records.
As most of Dave's fans already know Dave has never been one to conform to a typecast, but here at the office we have spent many nights discussing the future of country music in the UK. Dave is convinced that while we should not forget the sounds of the past along with the legends of country music we must be allowed to strive forward with the sounds and songs of newer artists, Dave likes to listen to country music for pleasure just like any other fan of the music, however he can't help but become depressed at the strange situation he has witnessed on more than one occasion when sitting in an audience watching a performer give their up most on stage just to over hear people talking with the attitude that because the act didn't sing their favourite song they are rubbish are the british fans of country music really so self centred that they can't just enjoy the fact there is live country music to be seen and heard.
If people just want to listen to their hero's of country music then stay at home where they can listen to the same songs over and over again but if you love country music for what it is then visit the clubs support the circuit and relish in the fact that some of us want to relish in the world of the songs and tunes that is country music as a whole!

Dave is asked by Andy Ash of the Red Dirt Road Band to team up as a duo after the demise of the Red Dirt Road band Duo , The new duo will be named Montana Ash covering as many Red Dirt Road shows as possible , The duo Montana Ash will continue performing some 35 shows a year so as to facilitate the continuation of Dave Montana & Andy Ash as solo performers in their own right.
